Master Bedroom Before & After

Welcome to Abby Manchesky Interiors!

Don't you love a good before and after? Today I'm sharing a client's master bedroom makeover.

Remember my friend and fellow creative entrepreneur, Michelle? I shared our plans for her master bedroom earlier this month. She is an incredible photographer at Michelle Corinne Photography, specializing in newborns--oh my word she takes amazing photos. She even did our family pics this year!

Michelle sent me a handful of photos of her room. As you can see below, the room was quite dark, even though this photo was taken during the day. They weren't happy with their room but she didn't know where to start. To read more about our goals for this project click here.

I moved the bed in front of the window. The room was painted the softest pale blue: Sea Foam by Benjamin Moore.

We removed her old drapes and hung the new drapes high and wide. The inside edge of your drapes should come to the window, not cover the window. You'd never know this huge window was behind her old panels. I also added a flatweave rug. She really disliked her carpet and contrary to popular belief, you can layer a flatweave rug over carpeting.
It's difficult to tell from the photos, but the rug made a huge impact!

We moved the narrow dresser that used to hold the TV to this wall, and now the TV in on their long dresser opposite the headboard.

Details finish the room. I arrived with a handful of accessories and Michelle was left with a fully finished space. She told me she's never leaving!

There you have it!
A quick bedroom makeover on a budget.
This project was a delight to work on and I'm so grateful to help them love their home.
