"Retro Knox" Designed | 60s Swanky Living Room & Sources

Hello all!  It's Tuesday, and that means another Retro Knox Designed space for you to savor.  To read more about this series, click here for the inside scoop.  I've partnered with my favorite local store to feature one of his pieces every week and design an entire room around it, sharing every source with you!

Today's piece is special in more ways than one.  First of all, this white sofa from the 60's was made in Grand Rapids, MI, which locals will love.  This sofa is a Ralph Morse, with marble type inlay on the legs, beautiful curved arms, down filled back cushions, and a tufted seat.  There's also an interesting wood piece on the back.
Ah-mazing style here.

90"L x 26"H x 36"D, $1200

Here it is with the cushions removed so that you can see the shape.

I've paired it with this beautiful shaped chair...

Two four-light pendants flanking the sofa instead of lamps...
An artistic coffee table to ground it all...

Trimmed out linen pillows to soften it a bit...

Velvet...there must always be velvet...

When you mix it all together you have a beautiful 60's swanky living room.
Just click on the links below for the sources.

My goal for these designs is not only feature pieces from Retro Knox, but also to inspire you to see what could work alongside these pieces.  What do you think of this living room?  I see it as a place for entertaining and relaxing in the morning with your coffee.

  1. This would be a very glammy room with the pieces you've chosen. And I think the room would need to be painted black for some drama & contrast. Your mood board made me realize it.
If I close my eyes I can see it & it's stunning.
