Fresh & Modern Family Room with Sources: Retro Knox Designed

Hello my friends!  Another Tuesday means another Retro Knox Designed post,
where I take one piece from my favorite store, Retro Knox, and design a room around this piece.  Although his pieces are all vintage/antique/mid-century style, I want you to see that you don't need a mid-century home, or a super glam room to mix these pieces in with what you already have.
Let's stop saying "I'll take it all." from the furniture showroom floor, and let's start building a room that's original to you and your family.  That speaks to your story.
That's collected.

When I share a design plan for a client, I'm not able to share all of the sources with you.  But with this series, because you are the client, you get every source! ;-)  Just click on the photo to click through to the item.
This post does contain a few affiliate links but most sources are not.

The sofa is very tailored and handsome, so my goal was to soften the hard lines of the sofa with cool colors, texture, and FRESH colors. I envisioned a space perfect for a cheerful yet sophisticated client.
Just click on the photos to be taken to the source.  Happy shopping!

Whether you're near or far, I would love to work with you to create a home you love.  Email me at abbyminteriors@gmail.com for more information on my local & e-design services.

  1. This is such a fun series! I love the mix of pieces especially the Teil Duncan beach prints and the hammered coffee table. Can't wait to come over to that part of MI and shop at Retro Knox! :)

  3. Hi Abby,
Last month my husband & I stayed at a little rental house on the beach in Delaware. It was decorated like a beach themed restaurant. It was awful. But the place had such great potential.
Your picks this week would have been perfect for this little house. It would have given the place a fun, bohemian vibe.
Between the contrasting textures & styles, the place could be such happy, relaxed, beach house.
