"Retro Knox" Designed | Luxe Dining Room & Sources

Hi all!  I hope you had a beautiful weekend.  We were up north in Charlevoix and the weather was gorgeous.  I'm a little late on my post today because this is such a new piece in the shop and I really wanted to design a room around it.  Last week's Retro Knox Designed was for a younger client.  This week is more high-end and luxe.

Welcome back to my weekly series, Retro Knox Designed, where I take one piece from my favorite store, Retro Knox, and design a room around this piece.  Although his pieces are all vintage/antique/mid-century style, I want you to see that you don't need a mid-century home, or a super
glam room to mix these pieces in with what you already have.
Let's stop saying "I'll take it all." from the furniture showroom floor, and let's start building a room that's original to you and your family.  That speaks to your story.
That's collected.

When I share a design plan for a client, I'm not able to share all of the sources with you.  But with this series, because you are the client, you get every source! ;-)  Just click on the photo to click through to the item.
This post does contain a few affiliate links but most sources are not.

This vintage buffet is a Mastercraft piece and very high end.  I wish I had a space for it in my own home!  Here are a few different shots of this buffet.

To say I'm in love with this piece would be an understatement. The wood grain is stunning as is the shape.

I pulled these emerald mohair dining chairs to pair with this gorgeous buffet.  They deserve each other.

A long, black marble, oval table seems fitting.

Yes to this.  It's a six-light fixture and would cast the prettiest shadows.  A statement piece, for sure.

A neutral silk rug.  So luxe.

Brass sconces flanking the art.

This piece is my unexpected.  It's a little fresher and happier than the rest of the pieces, but that's why it works.

Nimbus Gray is a rich blue-gray.  Think men's smoking lounge, a gray that's not too dark but still has a saturated color to add depth to your room.

I love how it looks together.  Simple.  Uncluttered.  And every piece makes a statement without overwhelming you.

If you're interested in this buffet, please stop by Retro Knox, or call John at 616.308.6767.
The dimensions are 27"H x 65"L x 20"D and the asking price is $1450.
