Pantone Reveals Color of the Year 2014

I shared my own prediction on the color for 2014 with you back in August.
Click here to see if I was correct.

Pantone, an X-Rite company and the global color authority, today announced PANTONE 18-3224 Radiant Orchid, a captivating, magical, enigmatic purple, as the color of the year for 2014. “While the 2013 color of the year, PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, served as a symbol of growth, renewal and prosperity, Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®.

Additionally, Pantone and Valspar Paint, a leader in the paint industry, today announced the addition of PANTONE® Radiant Orchid, the 2014 Color of the Year, to the PANTONE UNIVERSE™ Paint Collection by Valspar available exclusively at Lowe’s stores nationwide.

What do think of Pantone's choice?

This deep lilac color works well with all the grey we've been seeing for the last few years, looks beautiful against all the greens, and is truly a beautiful accent color when done well.

Will you be adding "Radiant Orchid" to your 2014?
