Hi friends! Time to share a feminine nursery design. I absolutely love designing nurseries--especially for girls as I'm a mom of all boys! This nursery was totally inspired by Caitlin Wilson Textiles. I love her patterns and fabrics and thankfully my client does too!
The plan is to paint the room a very pale teal color. They have a long dresser they'd like to use as the changing table so we're planning to paint it this coral color.
Colleen was ready to go all-in for a girlie nursery, so flowers and bows and color was just what we needed.
These two watercolor prints may not be what you'd imagine for a nursery, but I strongly believe that you should select inexpensive art for kid rooms that can grow with them, not be themed, and that are based on their COLORS. The colors in these watercolor feathers are a perfect fit with the fabrics and could really be moved anywhere in the house if her daughter tires of them in her room.
This swivel glider is a dream: tailored, classic, comfortable, and made from Sunbrella indoor outdoor fabric. That means spit-up is no match for this glider. ;-) Again, this is a piece that could be moved to any room in the house. Even the master bedroom.
I highly recommend a white leather pouf as your ottoman with the glider. It's soft and completely durable for baby to play and climb on, soft for the parent's feet when rocking, and would look amazing in any room of the house.
And for storage?
Paint dipped baskets. I'm hoping I can convince my client to do this as a DIY.
All of this against the backdrop of this incredibly soft-textured rug:

What do you think?
Is this a nursery that makes you want to snuggle your baby girl?
