my DC e-design challenge

I love a good interior design challenge!

Yesterday, my e-design client, Sara, let me know that she's having a baby boy!  So exciting!  She would like her toddler girl and newborn boy to share a bedroom for the next three to five years.  The room is quite small, and now that we know the children are different genders it takes my challenge to the next level.

As soon as I heard the news about her baby's gender, I jumped on Pinterest to see if there were any coed bedrooms I loved.  Truth?  I only found one.  Most of the shared, coed rooms were either too cheesy, or too literally divided.  They would paint half the room blue and half the room pink with streamers as a dividing wall.  Just not something I could recommend.

This coed bedroom, designed by Grant K. Gibson, is my favorite.

*bold colors
*clean & uncluttered
*matching headboards
*coordinating bedding, but not the same
*modern, cheerful, functional

Does anyone have a coed bedroom you'd like to share?
If so, send me the link!  I'd love to see what solutions you have developed for this challenge.
Stay tuned!  I'm excited about this one!
