hi there

Hi friends,

I had to step away for a bit.
We had a lot going on with our family, our old house, and our current house.  Once I took a pause from blogging I just couldn't bring myself  to write another post.  But I am SO thankful to those of you that took the time to comment on Facebook, or send me a caring email checking in and mentioning that you were missing my posts.  You made it difficult to walk away.
So I've gotten some air...

And I'm even more excited to come back.  I just need to learn to say no more often.
I have plenty to share with you this week to catch you up on everything: both at my home and with clients.

Our bedroom is finally getting some attention.  Before and after (progress) shots coming this week.

This beautiful watercolor on canvas is on its way to my oldest son's room. {You can see pictures from the day we bought the house here.}  I'm working on the bedrooms of our house as fast as I can without breaking the bank.  I'm looking forward to sharing the before and after shots with you as well.
Even our guest room is getting some TLC:
I bought two of these table off Craig's List in a smoke filled bait shop.  They were disgusting and damaged so don't feel sad that I painted natural wood.  These bad boys needed two coats of primer and two coats of paint.  They're finished and looking great in the room.  I'll share the finished look this week.

Finally, I've got some Facebook fans who submitted their front doors for me to suggest colors.  That's going to be one of my favorite posts yet.

If you're still reading after such a long break...Thank you!

  3. My friend!! So glad to see you back on the block. Balance is so hard, especially when you design for a living (which would make it seem easier to blog, wouldn't it? Not. As we both know :) You have such great talent to share and learn from -- I, for one, am glad you are sharing it with us again.
