updates on The Cottage Project

Hi all!  There is a lot going on this week, but I wanted to give you a small glimpse into all the updates happening with the "cottage project".  My client is hoping to get into her home within the next two weeks, so there is plenty of painting and frenzy happening over there.

Her master bathroom is really coming together.

Wouldn't you love to relax in that tub with a view of the water?

Her bedroom ceiling is painted.  Ta Da!  We're really happy with it.  It's actually still wet in this image.  The trim and walls still need to be done.

The guest room ceiling is yellow!  It's going to be a very fresh and cheerful room.  Just wait and see.

We found this light while antiquing downtown.  It's totally perfect for her pantry.  I can't wait to see it installed.

We also found a 7 foot long table for her dining room.  We were hugging it and jumping up and down in the store.  Her dining space is quit narrow, and we were having a difficult time finding something long AND narrow. This table is only two feet wide.  Perfection.

We loved the rustic table top.  No, we are not doing anything to it.  It's staying as it is...
Chipped paint and all.

I love the legs.  So beautiful.

Her office is done!  Just ready for furniture.

I think I've decided what to do with the fireplace.

The fireplace itself will remain white.  But I think I'll have the whole mantle area painted in sag harbor gray, by Benjamin Moore.  Just a deeper shade of the wall color.

Oh yes. We may be adding this beauty to her dining room.  This, against her rustic table, white textured chairs, and charcoal colored built-ins?  Yes. I would be there every day for dinner!

I hunted down this image on Pinterest just so you could see how wonderful rustic and sparkle look together.

So there you have it!  Much more going on, but I didn't want to bore you.  Can you see it all coming together?  I'm looking forward the the walls all being painted.  Then it will feel like real progress.
Thanks for reading!

  11. I love, love what you are doing. I wish I could see the dining room and living room in person! It feels like I would be right at home. Let's hope I can convince my guy of the sparkly chandelier with the rustic table - I may have to show him inspiration pictures to help that along.
