Our master bedroom could qualify for the ugliest room in America.
I'm serious.
I've been living in a designer's nightmare for the last year, but today I'm painting the walls white. Well, not white exactly. It's a color called Distant Gray, OC-68 by Benjamin Moore. Once the walls are painted I'll share before and after pictures.
My design plan above was inspired by the Schumacher fabric on the green pillows. You can find them here. I'm not 100% sold on the lamps, but I know I want something green. The board is just inspiration. If you'd like to see more of my design plans click here.
I love a green and white room. What do you think? Too much white for you?
I love it! The art, the fabrics, those lamps! Perfection!
ReplyDeleteI never tire of white...and the side tables are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks beautiful, there is a great mix of color incorporated with the white. It's very calming...just what you would want for a bedroom :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about doing Navy lamps? I love the grean. . . .
ReplyDeleteLooks Great. An excellent inspiration plan. Will look forward to what you end up with.
ReplyDeleteNew follower. Love the Blog!

I love it all, Abby! I especially love those lamps. I can't wait to see what you do.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love the green and you can never have too much white - I could live in all white :)
ReplyDeleteAbby It will be gorgeous and no not too much white. The green, black, and gold balance it out!

I don't think you will tire of greeen/white anytime soon. It is a beautiful board - can't wait to see it all come together.
ReplyDeleteNope, I love white mixed with green- it's so fresh. I really need to do a green room at some point!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot of white, but the pops of green warm it up and really keep it from looking too sterile. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Very fresh and crisp. It's clearly an "adult" space but not stuffy. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI'm such a huge fan of kelly green, I think it just might be one of my absolute favorite colors...right after pink (c; This is absolutely gorgeous, I can't wait to see the before and afters!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the white walls will look nice and fresh... and relaxing! Besides, that's not WHITE white - it's a great shade. And that Schumacher fabric is TDF! xox0-Cris
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to look at the rooms you conceive. Because. I love them and can't have them! I want every single thing in this room, just the way you've put it together. And, I happen to think those lamps are brilliant. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!

I like your plan. Using a hint of gray on the walls will keep the space from feeling too stark and I think that you have the right amount of white-so clean and fresh looking. I almost always use white bedding-I find I don't get tired of it and it's such a great backdrop for gorgeous pillows like the ones you have picked. (I never tire of the Schumacher pattern-I have pillows made from the blue/turquoise colour way) Can't wait to see the finished room!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I like the amount of white and love all of the touches of green. It will be very refreshing and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteLove your plan - can't wait to see you work your magic!
ReplyDeleteYou put the idea in my head... yes, it's a bit too much white for me. I think if it were me, I'd gray down either the tables or the walls (but not both). I do love a good dose of white in a bedroom - our duvet is white as are the curtains. Gray walls, brown wooden dressers for bedside tables, navy and seafoam and a touch of gold for colors.
ReplyDeleteI like it! Especially the prints behind the lamps and the round mirror above the bed.
ReplyDeleteI love this mix of green with the gray walls....this room is going to be great!
ReplyDeleteI love your design board Abby. A lot of people leave their MBR to last, but it should be higher on the list..
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it!
