fabric obsession: Leland Gal (+ one more)

Yesterday I had a chance to visit Maggie, creator of Leland Gal.  She has some of the best fabrics and I couldn't wait to share my favorites from her latest creations.

After some tweaking to her original fabric we landed on this design for H.'s big boy room drapery panels.

It looks perfection against the walls and alongside his bedding.  (To see how Leland Gal fabric looked in the finished room, click here for the reveal!)

Here is the same design but with a twist.  Maggie is so talented.  I LOVE this modern farmhouse plaid.

Tugboats?  Yes.

She shared a preview of a tunic dress (think Trina Turk style, but better) that she and her seamstress made from the fabric below and I nearly passed out.  It's GORGEOUS.  I'm sure it's difficult to picture, but you'll have to trust me.  She's not ready to make her dresses public yet but you can be sure I'll share them when she's ready.

Love this one too.

Maggie creates beautiful designs but one of the best parts is that she can create your fabric totally custom. Just like when her original fabric was too beige/dark for H.'s big boy room, she simply altered it and now I couldn't be happier.  I'm not sure I've ever been this excited for a window treatment.  :-)

You can find her fabrics here.
Now I need to get back to work so I can afford all the yards of fabric I need!

BTW: I've been working on two paintings to go on either side of my first.  They'll be hung on the piano wall.

Here's a preview.  You can see a peek of it behind my mom juice for the first day of summer vacation.

Happy Friday my friends!  I'm so thankful for you.

  4. I can. not. stand. how GORGEOUS H's room is going to be when those drapes are up. That fabric is so incredible. It has such a high-end design vibe. She is mega talented. And, of course, so are you for pulling that all together. I hope you have that room professionally photographed when it's done. It is effortlessly timeless. Hard to achieve. :)
