before shots: "The T. House" kitchen and family room

Happy Friday!  This day has flown by, but I wanted to share some excitement.  This is what I affectionately refer to as "The T. House".  They were my first official clients once I opened for business.  They bought this house within the same month we bought ours.  These pictures were taken before they moved in.

If you have a great memory, you know that we started with their upstairs first: girls rooms, stairway, bathroom.  Now they are ready to start the main floor.  Hold on to your hats, because it will be quite a transformation.  My favorite painter is there as as type, working his magic with our plans.

The kitchen cabinets are getting painted White Dove, along with the bulkheads.  The island is going to be Duxbury Gray.  For phase two, the wood floors will be installed, and more than likely, crown molding.

New pendants and hardware are on the way.

Yikes.  I'm so glad my clients could see past the dated look of this house.  This was the view of their family room from the kitchen.

The moldings and built-ins have already been painted Snow White, the brick is a greige color I can't recall, and the walls are Covington Gray. Wood floors have been installed.  It's almost shocking looking at these before pictures, now that I've seen the start of the finished look.

A sofa with chaise will go in this space, joined by two chairs.

I've found a sample from Flor.com that we may use as an area rug in this room.  I'd share it with you, but it just doesn't look true to color on the computer.
Mike, the painter estimates the kitchen will be done by next Friday.  Cross your fingers, because they are hosting a very special baby shower on Saturday, so it must be done in time!  I can't wait to share progress with you.  Once the paint is done we still have more to do: selecting furnishings, fabrics, etc., but the change will be drastic.

Enjoy your weekend!  My gorgeous cousin is graduating from MSU tomorrow and was even accepted into their law school for fall.  So proud!  I'll be taking our oldest to her graduation in hopes of inspiring him to do well in school. ;-)
