H.'s big boy room: in details

H.'s big boy room is slowly coming together.  Every piece except the light has been transformed or bought new.  I'm still collecting art, thinking of buying this locker, adding drapery panels, and
possibly adding two of these lamps.

H. is so proud of his room.  :-)  When someone new comes to our house, he can't wait for them to see his
'big boy beds'.  If I had to describe the space, I'd say vintage preppy, but I tend to stay away from themes.

Here is a glimpse: in Instagram details.

Our one year anniversary in this house is this weekend. Although we have taken it slow, I'm happy with the progress we have made on our new house.  If you'd like to see how H.'s room looked as a nursery, click here.  Just know that I did nothing to the room except move in the furniture and add a vintage pendant light.

What do you think of the details?

  10. I *cannot* believe that you've been in that house for a year! It seems like yesterday you were moving in! Crazy. But the room is looking amazing, I can't wait to see the whole picture!

  11. These details are very fun and so appropriate for a boy of his age. And I think that's adorable how excited he is about the room too - that means Mom has done a good job! I can't believe you've been in your house a year (you probably can't either!) - you've done so much and should be very proud of the strides you've made in making it home for your family.
