bathroom remodel: before and after

Thank you for your comments on the girls' bedrooms I shared yesterday!  Today I'm giving you a look at the bathroom these little girls share.

We wanted to update their 90's bathroom to be sweet with a bit of vintage/cottage mixed in.  After all, two very young girls would be using it, but they won't be little forever.
Here is where we started.  Dark and dated.  The clients wanted to give it a fresh new look
without a total gut job.
Here's what we did.  New crown molding, beadboard, lighting, mirrors, granite counters with new sinks, faucets, floors, hardware, and painted vanity all work together to give this bathroom a new look.

The generic white floor tiles were replaced with these beautiful tiles. (Scroll up if you don't remember what the old floor looked like.) They work so well with the granite, I could hardly contain my excitement.

Every girl needs a ruffled shower curtain!  The homeowners are planning to have the beige shower re-glazed in white.

Are you dying over the glass hardware?  I am obsessed.  I want it in my own house!

Thanks for taking a little tour of this bathroom.  There are still details to be added, like wall art and a roman shade, but I'm just bad at waiting until the very end to share my pictures with you!  I get too excited.

  7. I'm doing my first bathroom right now, so this is excellent inspiration! Especially since the plan has some similarities--granite counter, going from one massive mirror to two regular sized ones, beadboard, etc.

    Love it!

  8. Beautiful! I love those handles, I might need those for my bathroom. The ruffled shower curtain is cute too. I feel the same way, you just want to share before it's done because it looks so much better, I'm glad you share with us even when it's not 100% "done."

  10. Great job keeping the update classic - these changes you've made will last for years and just switching up a shower curtain, or towels can make a huge difference and not have to spend a ton of money.
