calendars, blankets & a basement office

In an effort to make my business more efficient and stay more organized, I searched for a desk calendar on Etsy.  I needed to be able to see the month at a glance.  Thankfully, I found the most amazing shop: Paperpetalsshop.

They allow you to totally personalize their paper products.

The paper is so beautiful I don't even want to write on it.  But I love that it has my business name as the focus while still being so stylish!
There are 50 sheets of months so this should last me.

In other news, H.'s blankets came for his big boy room yesterday.  They are sooooooo nice in person.  It was difficult to find a wool blanket that was still reasonably priced, large enough for a bed, and the right pattern.

I found The Scottish Weaver and they were the answer.  They have plenty of different plaid patterns and they are made in Charlotte, NC.  I realize in the pictures the blue color almost looks purple, but it's really a dusty blue. Perfect for H.'s big boy room.

This week I also decided to tackle the desk area of our basement.  After we moved it became the home for everything that didn't have a place.  It was driving me crazy and truly embarrassing for anyone to see.  I'm sharing the ugly with you.  I've got plans for this basement space.  I'll be turning it into my office.
Trust me when I say that this desk area looked like an episode of Hoarders and this is actually progress!

In my dreams, the space looks more like this:

Have a great Thursday!  I'm meeting with my cottage client today and finishing up Danielle's living room.  Thanks for visiting!

  4. Love that desk calendar! I'll have to check out that Etsy seller. And that basement space of yours has great potential - so much counter/desk space which is awesome. My magazines look just like yours in those files - even with the post its sticking out here and there. I'm actually headed to Ikea today to pick up a few things and more files is on my list to get my darn magazines organized.
