DC master bedroom: e-design

Earlier in the week I shared my design plan for Christy's mudroom.  We're working our way through the recent, huge renovations to her home.  Today I'm sharing the plan for the master bedroom.

First, let me introduce you to her darling family:
I've never met them in person (642 miles between us)
but I really appreciate seeing who I'm working with.
Plus, her daughter likes my hair, so I'm a fan of her forever!  In a family full of boys there's not much talk about hair. :-)

This before picture was taken as soon as they moved back into their home after renovations.  So don't judge the suitcase.  Not that you would, because I have the sweetest readers!  They wanted to keep everything in the picture.

They had already chosen the fabric for the windows and wanted to keep their current white dresser.

 Here is the design concept:

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished look.  Just wait until you view the rest of their home.  The living room is next!  You can see more of my design plans here.

  4. I have no doubt they will love their new room! xo

  5. Abby, it's just beautiful! I LOVE the fabrics and colors!

  6. That's a great bedroom to work with. New draperies and a headboard are going to do wonders for this room - I can't wait to see the progress. And I love that rug - have you used it before in other projects? I would love to hear opinions on it.

  7. The board is gorgeous! I can't wait to see the room all put together!

  8. I love this color combination!

  9. I like how you mixed the woods/paint. And the fabric and patterns? To die for. Love the board. You rock.

  10. Loving it all! Hopefully they will share pics when complete :)

  11. Loving the prints and colors you chose to go with the fabric they already picked out! Great choice on an enlarged mirror!!

  12. I love your mix of patterns. The room is going to look effortlessly charming. Good luck with the living room!

  13. What a cute family....and I love your fabrics for this room. Fun and sophisticated!
