navy: client inspiration

There is something so grounding and classic about navy.

I was contacted by a wonderful new e-design client who already has great style, she just wanted a push in the right direction.
She would like to bring more navy into the room.
I'm going to go out on a limb and name the style she's going for as
vintage glam with a bit of farmhouse mixed in.
Not all of these images are her style but I pulled together a pile of navy inspiration for all of us to enjoy.

All images can be found here.

Do you love navy?  Are you happy to see it back as an "it" color?

If you follow me on Facebook you probably know that I'm still learning the best way to pace myself with taking on new clients.

I am currently working on three long term projects so I'm limiting how many clients I can accept.  I am booked until the beginning of October and only have two openings left for that month.  Please contact me soon if you would like to get on the waiting list for fall.  If you think you'd be interested, please take a look at the list of my services here.  Thanks!

  9. I think Navy with crisp white is elegant. Some people (clients) really don't like it. But I think a dark blue velvet is lovely and the painted wall in the restaurant you show is fab.

  10. I love navy and white. I recently saw a navy settee I wanted, but didn't like the huge price tag! So, I'll keep looking.

  12. I know they are completely different but I think of navy as I do black - they are both so classic and can be used in so many ways. I love that cafe image above.
And your client has a beautiful home with lots of neat architectural features. Love the built-ins and the arched doorway. This will be fun - looking forward to the updates. And congrats on all of your hard work - that's wonderful.

  17. *** These are FAB pics... I LOVE how clean and crisp everything is with Navy & White... that 6th picture of the DR with the navy slipcovered chairs & white china cabinet, for some reason, just KNOCKS MY SOCKS OFF!!!... Is it simple? Yes. Uncomplicated? Yes. Fresh? Yes. Welcomingly warm? STYLISH to boot? You bet!!!

Loved this read... I most DEFINITELY will be back!

    Thank you,
