Can grey feel warm?

Grey is here to stay as the new neutral.

But what if you don't want your home to feel like the latest Restoration Hardware catalog?

I believe grey walls can still feel warm and inviting!

Especially when paired with the right colors and fabrics.

Like most elements of design it's all about context.

Adding surfaces with shine, warm textures, along with natural elements makes
grey a color I'd want to come home to!

Have you opened up to grey?  Or does it feel like living in cement walls?  Do tell!

  8. We don't have any grey in our home at the moment, but I would definitely do it in our next home. I've contemplated doing it in a nursery but I also think I would do it in a living area too.

  10. LOVE gray...I jumped on the bandwagon about a year ago when I upholstered a wingback in a gray/white geometric...then I may or may not have done our whole master bedroom around that chair (c: It definitely can feel however you would like it to, I prefer it mixed with a bold and bright color...that last picture with the pink is heaven!

  11. I like grey when there is warm light, and other warm color in the space, but only certain greys :) Not the ones made up of black and white! I could go on, but I'll be quiet now, lol...

  12. I love gray with navy or coral. These are some great images. Frankly, after the past few days of the stock market, I feel comforted by all the green in my house and hoping its a good trend for me!!

  16. I love grey. I think it's all about what you pair with it to make it feel warm. It's a nice change from the years of beige and taupe and still neutral enough to pair with anything. :)

  19. My jury is still out on this. While I do love it, I think it still casts a cooler feeling to the room. The only pic I think is warm is the 3rd one down with all the b&w photos, but that grey looks more beige to me.

This is so fitting as I'm waivering between between grey or beige for our living room. Furniture is caramel-brown with aqua accents. I just picked beige and now you have me re-thinking it AGAIN! ;)

  20. Wow, I love your pictures. They all look warm and nice!
I've got one grey wall in my livingroom and combined with white and a blush of pink... It's looking quite rich actually... Thanks for sharing your input!
    Lovely greetings Danielle
