Sarah Richardson does it again

Sarah Richardson designed these killer exhibits for the 2011 Interior Design Show.
She nails it every time.
If I had to name one designer that I could most relate to--style wise--it would be Sarah.

Here use of color, pattern, and lighting make all of her rooms sing.
Enjoy her latest work!

What did you think?  There is so much for me to love here...
This post could also be named "the case for white walls"!  Tempting.  Very tempting.

Did you have a favorite room or a favorite piece?
Do you love Sarah's work as much as I do?

  1. I do like her style when she does more serene rooms - if we all had endless finacial means, I think most could do what she does too! ;) I love the chandelier & matching side table - it looks like either shims or paint sticks? Do you have a link to those? It's the perfect blend of unique-ness, slightly contemporary w/o being too modern and not so traditionally formal. Is there a word for all that? LOL?

  2. I adored those exhibits! And it was so neat that she incorporated pieces from Rich Brilliant Willing, which her brother design for!

  3. Abby, I've followed Sarah's career for many years, and watched her evolve from a young designer with crafty ideas and thrift store finds, to the amazing and talented Canadian Design Icon she is today.
Sarah is able to work the full spectrum, from cottage, to classic, to modern, and everything in between.
Her signature style - incorporating fantastic fabrics and furniture, unexpected elements, and impeccable taste - is evident in everything she does.
    Great post!

  16. She is good...yes, white walls and notice how she uses items with some age in every room (not all new) mixed with modern fabrics. Really great!

  17. She and Phoebe Howard are the two desingers I could give the keys to my house and say Have at it and that says something since I did design for a living and I am now retired. I love love her work also. I think the above images are her brothers apartment or at least some of them are. I can not wait to see her new show!! I was so sad when her summer cottage show was over, Kathysue

  21. Wooden furniture is really the most elegant option you have to decorate your rooms. There is certain warmth about wood furniture that cold steel and glass cannot give you. It is elegant, it is beautiful and it is sophisticated. It is a gleaming piece of earth that sits in your room and makes you grow fond of its comforting lines and edges. In fact, there is nothing as comfortable as a piece of wood furniture that is regularly used.
