before & after: the T. House stairs

The T. House stairs are completed!  I must say that I'm thrilled with the results.  I know the homeowners are happy and that is what's most important.

This is a pretty dramatic before and after--Enjoy!

  20. Abby,
Now THAT is the way to do a staircase! Stunning! Your client must be so happy! Is that the same stair runner or is it new? Just wondering how big of a project it will be to do mine!
    Thanks!

  29. Thanks everyone! Shelley- the carpet is new, but they replaced all the flooring in the upstairs. If you don't need to stain the treads, I'm not sure ripping out the carpeting is necessary. Any tips from readers who have done this before?
