sneak peek: the T. house stairs

Hi friends!
If you've been reading for the past few months, you know that one of my clients hired me to help decorate and remodel their entire new home.  I affectionately call it the T. house.
Do you remember these stairs?

Well the transformation is almost complete!
Here's a peek at what's done so far.
The homeowner and I are both very excited!

Do you love it?
Or are you in the "painting wood is a sin" camp?
I know the line is quite divided on the subject! :-)

  3. Thank ladies! The treads are actually stained wood to match the new flooring that will be installed on the first floor. It's a deep brown with a bit of red. Carpet runner and spindles/handrail coming soon!

  17. Depends on what wood your painting! When my husband and I moved in the hardwood floors were painted. I don't mind painted stairs considering ours are painted but can't say I like painted hardwoord floors!
