we moved!

Hi friends!  Are you still there?  I have been crazy busy with the move and this is really the first chunk of time I've had to be on the computer.  How are you?  I'm sending a special thanks to those of you that dropped me an email of encouragement this last week.  You're the best!!

We are in the new house and loving it!

My office looks a bit like this right now.  Yikes.

Remember all my talk about the dinning room?  Here is a "before" picture for you.  The table and the buffet are getting painted, along with the walls and ceilings.  The chandelier will also be going.  Does anyone want to buy this one?

Besides a few boring repairs we discovered during our inspection, the first big change on the list is lighting.  The great room AND bedrooms have no lighting in the ceiling.  None.  That just won't work long term.  I love me some lamps, but we need more light than that. :-)  There are also plenty of light switches in the middle of walls instead of the edge, which prevents me from hanging any art. Also, I'm hoping to add built-ins and a few extra cabinets.  Bottom line: we are a long we off from repainting the house.  Oh, and did I mention all the carpet needs to be replaced?  This may be a longer process than I originally thought so please be patient.  I think there will be plenty of "during" pictures before we see official "after" shots of any rooms.

Thank you for hanging with me through the move.  I have some very exciting new client jobs that I'm looking forward to sharing with you.  Plus, the pink and turquoise nursery is almost done along with Emily's kitchen.  We're just waiting on a few last pieces to arrive so they can be installed.  I'm learning there is a lot of hurry-up and wait in this business. :-)  So glad to have you along for the ride.
XO,
