what to remember

Everyone is doing it.
Trad Home revealed it's first issue yesterday and I can't help it: I need to remember a few of these images!

The wall color against the white is my ideal.
I think it works for a lake house, traditional AND contemporary design.

Love the backsplash color and especially the lighting.

The shape of this entertainment center wall is fantastic.  In fact, I'm working on a finished basement for a client right now and will be sure to pass along this example.  You don't often see the arched top along with the moldings.  I'm not crazy for how these shelves are styled, but everything else about it is perfect.

What a sophisticated young girl's room.

Don't skimp on lighting.  It can make your room.

Again, lighting takes the space to beyond beautiful.  Otherwise, it's just another great white kitchen with marble counters.

Would you consider high gloss walls down a hallway with sconces above?  It's perfection.  Even with the dark color this space glows.

A little bit country.  A little bit chic.
The new traditional.
All images were taken from Trad Home online magazine.
Were any of these images part of your favorites?
You guys & gals are the best.
Thank you for your heartfelt comments on my last post regarding taking a break from blogging!

  1. The orange chairs in the first photo absolutely make that room. The orange makes that wall color really pop. I also LOVE the backsplash in that first kitchen. I usually don't like backsplashes with color, but the traditional subway shape and the shine really appeals to me. :)

  2. Ahh! How did I miss the Trad Home??? Been thinking about you, girlfriend. Thank heavens we're only given one day at a time, right? Lol. You are just in the process of crossing over the bridge to bigger, better things on so many levels. :) You are in a crazy but great place!

  3. There are so many great images here. I am sure I will go back through TradHome again to see them once more. I loved the lighting above the kitchen island you higlighted!

  4. I haven't made it there yet myself. Totally agree about lighting - sadly it's often overlooked : (

  5. i put the first two on my own blog post about tradhome. loved the magazine!

  6. OK I'm convinced now...clearly need to sign up! :)

  7. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet...but based on your pics, i can't wait!

  8. Oh I LOVE you for posting that top picture. It's my new office inspiration. Expect paint this weekend! :)

  9. I love your taste, and I'm pinning your images to pinterest like a madwoman.
