I have loved Emily Henderson since the first moment she was on Design Star and I am delighted that HGTV gave her a show.  My only sadness is that the show is not an hour long!  Now go set your DVR so you don't miss a thing.  Click here for Emily's blog!

If you did watch I'd love to hear your thoughts!???

  1. I really enjoyed watching Emily win the Design Star challenge and getting her own show! So true that the prettiest sofas are uncomfortable and the ugly ones are so comfy...why is that!?! Learned that "Regency" is high style/high contrast...interesting! Was glad the chadelier was not glass ... wow, close one for Emily! I loved the high back chairs in the first design, the fabric was beautiful, but they didn't keep them in the end. In the end, she summed it up stating to find one theme and stick to it! I'm like you, wish the show was an hour long. Emily is adorable and I am looking forward to watching her shows. Thanks for the link to her blog!

  2. Abby,
Yes, I saw the show! Emily is just so cute and easy to watch. I was surprised the show was not an hour like the pilot one she did right after Design Star. She has some great ideas and makes me really believe I could go to a flea market or vintage store and find something! I love that she does two looks too. It cracks me up that she paints two times though - especially with those high ceilings! Great show!

  7. I'm so furious that we don't have cable anymore...only because I want to watch that show!!! I was a huge fan of hers on Design Star (in fact she was one of the very few I was a fan of) and think she is absolutely amazing! I did see that last picture on her blog, but it doesn't really do it justice! In Emily's words...it's awesome sauce. (c:

  12. I gotta say, I don't get her at all. Well, maybe it's just the whole concept of the show I don't get. Sorry Abby! She impresses me as someone who can't make up her mind. If I were that homeowner, I'd be beside myself that my walls were painted twice, stuff moved twice, etc. I do adore the sofa she did, but what was up with the big empty space to the left of the TV? I guess I sound harsh, but the concept of the show, "try it till you like it" is so competely unrealistic that if just doesn't work for me. Her personality is fun and quirky, as is her style, but the show concept makes her look indecisive, I think. Not often that you and I don't agree! :)
