Dear Abby...empty entry

Dear Abby...
I am thinking of putting a small table against this tall wall.  Do you have any sources your would recommend?

My initial thought is to skip the table all together.
Instead, I would place an upholstered bench on the wall against the stairs and put a large, round mirror on the wall facing the door.

Here are some examples.

I like this mirror from Ballard.  It's 31 inches in diameter which I think could be large enough.

Here is my list of recommended sources for both a bench and a mirror.

Do you have a favorites source you're willing to share?
What are you guys up to this weekend?  I'm off to finally paint those pillows! This week has been so full of house hunting and two sick kiddos that I really have had no time for blogging and design.  I can't wait to be back in the swing of things.

  1. thats a great idea abby! love this series!

  2. I totally agree. Janell's looks so great! Looking forward to seeing those painted pillows!

  3. And this is why you are the expert! Most of us would do a table, but a bench is much better! Off to take pics of my design dilemma for you! Have a reat weekend!

  4. I love the way the bench looks. I bet she could check craigslist for a cheap one and fix it herself!

  5. Great suggestion, the bench will be perfect. She could do a coffee table - to - bench transformation with an old/ugly bench from craigslist or thrift store. I just came across your blog via Modern Jane, and am loving it! I'm your newest follower.

  6. I love love that wallpaper and the mirror. I think the bench is a great idea...maybe more practical too?

  7. Love your idea and can't wait to see those painted pillows!

  8. Smart advice! A bench will go so well there! Have you decided on the design for the pillows? Have a great weekend and hope the kids are better soon!

  9. I love all of these sources...

I would definitely be open to anything though; a chest of drawers...a chair...a lot of things could work for this space!

  10. Love the bench, and mirror. I'm needing a bench that is no longer than 34", and not wider than a foot and a half...proving to be a difficult find! Will have to check out those links to see if one of those will work! Thanks for the sources, Abby!!!
