baby girl to big girl: latest project

Can you handle her cuteness?
I can not.

She is about to get a baby sister and her parents are ready turn her nursery into something special.
When asked what she wanted in her room?  A radio.  :-)
Little "L" would like a fairy theme and I'm looking forward to making her room feel whimsical and childlike without taking the fairy idea too literally.
Words that come to mind?  Ethereal.  Magical.  Light.  Sparkle.

Here is her room now:
The crib will transform into a bed and the wall color will stay. The curtains, chair, rug, and white shelf are saying goodbye.

Nightstand?  Staying.

Dresser?  Staying.  But this room will look mighty different.

Her mom sent me this as a place to start.  She is awesome!

I'm thinking of this duvet...
because it will last when "little L" gets sick of pink, it is easy to bleach, and it's beautiful!  The contrast between the dark bed and the white comforter will also work well.

Let's add a few of these shams and toss pillows.

Maybe a bit of this...
in a saturated pink, of course.

Just a touch of this...
because it has that fairy feel and will catch her eye with its prettiness.  Just imagine the shadows it will cast!  Magical?  I think so.

This is just a quick start.
I'll be sharing the layout and mood board soon.  Stay tuned to see how it looks!

After this we are starting on the nursery for little "L's" sister.

If you are a long time reader you might be wondering what happened to other projects that were virtually re-done .  Here is the deal--life happens.  Everyone is moving at a different pace but good things are changing and moving forward!

I have something to say and it's really important!
I was so touched by your comments on yesterday's post!  Thank you for
