5 changes for 2011 **guest post from Milk and Honey Home**

Hi friends!  How is your weekend?  Today is the last day of the series of guests posts from my vacation.  But Julie certainly is not the least!!  One of the best parts of blogging are the connections and friendships you make.  Milk and Honey Home is a true favorite because Julie has some serious style and a great heart.  Her home was recently visited by Better Homes and Gardens, and will be featured in Kitchen and Bath Makeovers!  Enjoy!

Hey! This is Julie from Milk and Honey Home and I am honored to be here today at A Delightful Design. Even though I have never met Abby, I really consider her a friend.

So, here are five things to try at home this year. Why not?

1. Frame some wallpaper (makes such an impact and is much cheaper than papering an entire wall)

2. Paint your kitchen cabinets black

Okay....if that is scary, what about just one little cupboard?

3. Use paint to add wainscoting (okay--faux wainscoting)

4. Match your fabric to unexpected areas

5. Why not hang your art or mirrors from ropes?

What do you plan to try in 2011? Happy New Year!
 Julie

Thanks Julie!  I hope you take a moment to visit Milk and Honey Home and stay a while...

**We're showing our home tonight to a potential buyer so say a little prayer that all goes well!  If not, we're still planning to move in March or April.**

  1. We painted our kitchen cabinets a shiny high gloss black and added shiny silver knobs. I We live at the beach and everyone has white cabinets. I love how dramatic and different it looks!

  3. Abby, this is the best post I've seen on inspiration for 2011, hands down. The images she showed are unique, doable, and have great impact. I'm going over to tell her!

  9. Loved the framed wallpaper and the addition of fabric in unexpected areas. A combination of the two would be nice too-a framed piece of beautiful fabric to add pattern to a corner of a room.
